Wild But Sweet 9 Month Old Sheltie Girl
Zoey is a 9 month old Sheltie who has already had two owners that we know of in her short life. As a nine month old she is in her early teens - so still a bit of a baby that needs to be trained but also worked with like you'd work with a soft baby. It's evident that someone who tried to work with her, lost patience with her. She'll need your soft touch and love.
ZOEY IS NOT YET HOUSE TRAINED. We are working on this but she seems to have been confused a bit by whatever she's learned in the past. She WILL go potty outside but, she'll also go potty inside. She doesn't YET know how to tell us when she needs to go outside. Zoey is VERY smart so we know that with some basic training and some patience - she will become house trained.
Zoey does not have any other training so, as a youngster, she's a bit wild. She needs an owner who will work with a dog trainer, either at home or at a dog training center.
Zoey is not good with children. When you approach Zoey she's not sure if you're going to be gentle with her or not. When you offer Zoey treats to get her to come to you, she is, at times, suspicious of your intentions. She needs someone who will help her lose these fears and suspicions through training classes and lots of love - both being equally important. We think Zoey has great potential as an agility Sheltie!
